Join/Renew Membership

WE NEED YOU IN NASN/USNA!! If you a have not joined, please join us. If you joined last year, DON'T FORGET TO RENEW!! From the NASN Newsletter, May, 2003:

"Timing is Everything. Don't go to the grocery store directly after work. Beat the commute, arrive early. Pick the right numbers on the night those lotto balls are drawn. And don't go to the Caribbean during the rainy season. We have all been wittness to how important the timing is for events in our lives. Applying for and renewing your NASN membership also has a significant timing cycle.

'Every effort is made to make this process as quick and easy as possible, because who has time for complicated matters? When the Anniversary of Payment process was implemented in April, 2001, all members were assigned and "Anniversary Month" based on the timing of their 2001 yearly membership dues payment...Following the initial mailing, renewal notices have been mailed each month, 45 days in advance of your anniversary month. For example, if your membership is due to renew in May, 2003, your renewal notice should arrive in March...

'You receive your renewal and return it promptly - no problems, no complications, your membership is processed, and you see no interruptions in your membership benefits. However, we know school nurses are very busy. So we have designed the process to allow the 30 days before your renewal month, the full month it is due, and a 1-month grace period in the month immediately after your anniversary month. If your dues are not submitted within this time frame, your membership profile is inactivated and membership lapses. A member may renew at any time; however, once inactivated, the anniversary month is reset...

'As you can see, we run a tight ship, and we are making every attempt to provide you with the best service possible. There are not nearly enough hours in the day, as we can all attest, but when returned in a timely manner, your NASN membership renewal is quick, easy, and very beneficial. Now if one could just figure out how to get those lotto numbers on the right night!"
